Municipal officials, plant managers, or any member of the Alberta Water and Wastewater Operators Association may submit nominations for Operator of the Year Award. The nomination must include information on candidate's contributions to the water and/or wastewater industry, as well as other pertinent details that make for a good award candidate.




Nomination Guidelines

  • The candidate must be a "member of good standing" of the Alberta Water and Wastewater Operators Association.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated exemplary service to the water and/or wastewater operations field over an extended period of time.
  • The following criteria will be considered by the Awards Committee: Years in the field; scope of work/ service/ community impact; training and education; mentorship accomplishments; extra-curricular activities related to the field.

Nomination deadline is January 31 for any given year. Awards are presented at the annual Operators Seminar in March.
